For this year’s Sacramento Earth Day, I will have a Nacheez booth and will be selling $2 Nacheez nachos, jars of Nacheez and giving out free samples. Come on by and say HI! All the food will be vegan this year.

This week’s Sacramento News & Review featured the owner of Nacheez/Love & Joy Foods, Ilsa Hess (hey! That’s me!), in their article about local entrepreneurs.
It’s been just over a year since the first jars of Ilsa Hess’ Nacheez went on sale in Sacramento. After being abruptly laid off from a job with the county, Hess took a chance on marketing her vegan, cashew-based nacho sauce and has since spawned a nondairy phenomenon. Nacheez currently is sold throughout California, as well as in Indiana, Illinois, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia, with more retailers on the way. (B.C.)
